Formerly known as MRE Engineering SDN BHD and now MRACS SDN BHD, our 40-year journey in the refrigeration and HVAC industry made us one of the most sought-after specialists in Malaysia.

MRACS is the acronym for Malaysia Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Specialist. The full name of our company speaks for itself and indicates our expertise in the ecosystem of refrigeration and air-conditioning. Indeed, we see ourselves as an all-inclusive solution and service provider of the all-things cooling system. From designing, supplying, installing, leasing, and maintenance, we have a medley of in-house experts to execute them all for you.

founding story

Founder Mr Simon Yang Shao Man graduated from Kingston University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was then trained for two years under J&E Hall International in the UK, specializing in manufacturing equipment for refrigeration and air-conditioning industries.

In Singapore, Mr Simon Yang joined a company called Applied Enger Pte Ltd, a York equipment agent who installed the air-conditioning system using a centrifugal chiller, screw chiller, or piston compressor chiller.

APV Hall invited Mr Simon Yang to start a Refrigeration Department in APV Singapore as Regional Sales Manager.

Mr Simon Yang joined a company known as Leading Engineering Sdn Bhd as a partner to set up a project department.

Mr Simon Yang formed Leading Engineering in Malaysia.

Mr Simon Yang sold a 50% share of Leading Engineering Sdn Bhd to a company called Chief S.A of France that specialised in hypermarket equipment.

Mr Simon Yang joined MRE Refrigeration Sdn Bhd.

Mr Simon Yang formed MRE Engineering Sdn Bhd.

The board decided to change the corporation’s name to MRACS from MRE Engineering.
